Anxiety disorders overview:- There is a range of factors contributing to developmental concern. This could be a biological factor – genes (family history), personality traits and brain chemistry – or they could be life events, such as trauma and chronic stress, or a combination of these factors.
Anxiety disorders is a term we use to describe emotions of anise, worry, and fear. It encompasses the feelings and physical sensations we may experience when we are anxious or upset about something. Although we usually find it unpleasant, anxiety is related to the unpleasant ‘fight or flight’ response – our normal biological response is threatened.
Thinking about a stressful event or decision makes you feel stressed, nervous, and perhaps fearful – especially if it can have a big impact on your life. For example:-
- Sitting an exam;
- Go to the hospital;
- Participating in interviews;
- start a new job;
- Being away from home;
- Having a baby;
- The disease is being diagnosed;
- Deciding to get married or divorce.
In situations like these, it makes sense to worry about your performance, or what the results will be. For a short period, you may also find it difficult to sleep, eat, or concentrate. Then usually, after a while or when the situation passes, the feelings of anxiety stop.
When does this become a mental health obstacle?
Because anxiety is a normal human experience, sometimes it is difficult to know when this problem is occurring for you – but if your feelings of anxiety are very strong, or persist for a long time, it can become overwhelming. For example:-

The symptoms of anxiety disorders

The long term effects of anxiety disorders
If you are worried for a long time or you are often worried, you may experience additional effects in your mind and body, such as:-
- Sleep problems;
- A low immune system, which can make you more susceptible to certain physical illnesses;

What are the types of anxiety disorders?
1. Generalized anxiety disorders
If you have been anxious for a long time and often feel fearful, but are not worried about anything happening in your life, you may be diagnosed with a generalized anxiety disorder. Because there are so many potential symptoms and effects of anxiety, it can be a fairly comprehensive diagnosis, meaning that the problems you experience with GAD can be quite different from what another person experiences, even if you have one. 2. Panic disorders
If you experience panic attacks that seem completely unpredictable and you cannot identify what triggers them, you may be given a diagnosis of panic disorder. 3. Obsessive-compulsive disorders

- Compulsions – Repetitive activities that you feel you have to do.
A phobia is an intense fear of something, even when that thing is not likely to be dangerous to you. If you have a phobia, your anxiety may begin with very specific situations or objects.
5. Post-traumatic stress disorders
If you develop strong feelings of anxiety after experiencing or seeing something painful, you may be given a diagnosis of PTSD. PTSD can cause flashbacks or nightmares about a traumatic event, which can make you feel like you are reviving all the fear and anxiety you experienced during the actual event.
How can I treat personally control anxiety?
If you experience anxiety or fear attacks, there are numerous ideas you can do to treat yourself cope:-
|Talking to someone gives you confidence in what you can be worried about. You may find that they have faced a similar problem and you can talk through it. Maybe just listening to someone and caring about them can help themselves.|
|You may find that a breathing exercise (yoga) helps you manage anxiety and feel calm.|
|Try to shift focus on yourself, it can help you to shift your focus or to remove the anxiety that you are feeling. Look at a flower, a picture or anything else that you find interesting or comfortable. Really pay attention to details, colors and any smell or sound.|
|Listening to music gives you peace or you can feel bliss.|
|It can help to tell you that the symptoms you experience are actually due to anxiety – it’s not really dangerous, and it will pass. This can help you feel calm and less fearful of future attacks.|
|You may find that physical activity can improve you in managing anxiety and panic attacks. Thinking about running or walking away from things on a daily basis can give you a little time to yourself.|
|Eat a healthy diet, If you avoid stimulants such as coffee, cigarettes, and alcohol, you may find it easier to relax. Some people also find that eating a healthy diet helps them manage anxiety better.|
